History
KL Shipping was established in 2001 as liner agency for European short sea operator Kursiu Linija. Multilingual and experieced staff with high sense of responsibility contributed to developing the business and since 2002 the company started to provide forwarding services for both local and international clients.
In 2005 shortsea operations were passed over to the subsiduary, KL Shipping was appointed as agents to global Japanese shipping and logistics company, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd, known as "K" Line. "K" Line is one of the 15 major container carriers of the world, also operating fleets of car carriers, bulk vessels, tankers, LNG carriers, total sales ranked the company within the top 5 shipowners in the world.
In 2006 KL Shipping started to develop own trucking department, operating own vehicles with satellite tracking that helped to raise the level of service to the highest standards.
Year 2008 was marked with new initiatives by shipping bulk liquids in flexitanks, contributing to the previous experience of work with ISO tankcontainers, as well as the first call of KESS Ro-Ro vessel at the Port of Ventspils.
